Happiest Baby on the Block

I love when old friends ask me to take their family photographs.  It honestly makes my heart smile!   I have known Liza since I was a teenager, and now she is married with the cutest little girl ever!!  Liza and Phil are beautiful on the inside and out, and now they have Stella to carry on that spirit.    We had so much fun at this shoot!   I think Stella is the happiest baby I have EVER photographed!  Yep, I said it :)    Thanks H fam!

Welcome Home Gravy

Quite possibly my favorite shoot thus far.... a day of anticipation, excitement, tears, and pure JOY.      Captain "Gravy" Hansen and his beautiful wife have been apart for over 7 months.   They asked me to photograph their homecoming and I can't tell you how honored I was.    I had never met them before this day, but through this experience I felt like I was waiting for MY family to arrive!   Truly, such a wonderful day.   Welcome home HMM-268!!

Sweetness

Meet Lauren...not only is she gorgeous, but she is also so sweet & smart.  This girl has it all.   She looks like she could  be a model, right?   Well that is why we took these pics...  If I was an agent, I would hire her!    Wouldn't you?

 oh, and yes, the good genes run in this family... her siblings are pretty stinkin' cute too.

Travis + Erin = married

I met Travis & Erin 11 years ago while working at Sunnyside Restaurant in North Lake Tahoe one summer.  It must have been the summer made for love because I met my husband then, and there were quite a few others that met on that restaurant deck.   I miss that place!  Fast forward some years and here they are getting married!   They decided to have a destination wedding in So Cal and asked me to come up to photograph their special day.   They started with a ceremony in the hills of Thousand Oaks at Sherwood Country Club.  It was a hot beautiful Spring day and such a gorgeous setting.  We then took a drive down to the coast of Malibu for the reception at the beach at Duke's...all in all... a beautiful wedding and even more beautiful couple.
