The S Family

Friday, September 7, 2012

I met Michelle years ago....  it was pre-Facebook days, the days where you had "forums" and you chatted online!    We met via a San Diego Newlywed board, (yes sounds dorky, but it wasn't).   We chatted about our pregnancies, kids, work, and just life!   Fast forward about 7 years and here we are.. in a field,  capturing her beautiful family.   I feel so honored that she asked ME to document this time in their lives.  Thanks Michelle!   I hope to be a part of many more of your families memories in the future.   ENJOY

This field has become quite popular for pics!   It is hard to stray away when you know the light will yield these gorgeous sunny warm images.   Of course this family was incredibly fun and made my job easy.    I honestly could not get enough of these kids!   They were so much fun...and what is about 6 year old girls that just ham it up in front of the camera?  sheesh...
ENJOY!

Brooklynn turns ONE

Saturday, July 14, 2012

This little cutie turned ONE just a week after our shoot....and what a sweet little girl.   It always amazes me how we can pull off a shoot with a toddler.   I say WE because it is a group effort!!   Mom & Dad and whoever else that may be walking by during the shoot will be trying to get these kiddos to smile and laugh.. and yes, there is crying!  I mean, would you want to be shoved into a wagon tied with balloons?  I didn't think so.     All in all...Brooklynn was a trooper...and so were her parents.
We had FUN!

The K Family

I have known this pretty Mama since I was about 7.   Our Dad's coached our softball teams together for what seemed like our whole childhood!  Now, our boys go to school and play together.  I love that I am still in contact with some of my oldest friends and that they want ME to photograph their beautiful families.  Jeremy & Jill were up for anything for their shoot.  They didn't have any requests, were game for doing anything and going anywhere.  Patrick is almost 4 and was so happy, smiley and LOVED the camera... and Johnathon, 16 months, wanted to do whatever his big Bro was doing, so they made my job easy!!  As for the location..... I happened upon this field the other day.  I love it because it is close to my house, no one is around, and the light in the evening is gorgeous.   I dug the vintage soda crates out of my Nana's shed in my backyard.  They were full of old leaves, spiders, dirt, etc...  After a little clean up, they made the perfect prop!   I look forward to many more shoots in this field.
